The Metropolitan Detroit Musicians League was founded in 1927. It is an organization of independent piano, vocal and instrumental teachers. The purposes of the League are to promote and encourage the understanding, appreciation and study of the art of music, to evaluate the economic and artistic standards of teachers of music, and to promote a closer professional fraternity.
